Andy Klepchick

Andrew “Andy” Richard Klepchick passed away to rejoin his beloved wife Joyce in heaven. Andy was born on December 19, 1939 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Andy and Josephine Klepchick. Andy graduated from Seton Hall University and after a successful career in sales for Caterpillar and subsequently moved to Hilton Head to pursue a career as a leading real estate agent.

Andy and Joyce lived a “Happy Days” lifestyle, that began with the Golden Rule and it ended with trying to make everyone he met feel just a little bit better. Andy certainly adhered to this lifestyle, an Island resident and Real Estate Agent (Islandwise and Lighthouse Realty) for over 35 years. You would be hard pressed to find someone that had not crossed paths with Andy, exchanged a smile, a “Welcome to Hilton Head Island” and an “I’m glad you stopped by and took the time to discuss our own brand of paradise.”

Andy was not a guy to sit on the sidelines. His civic nature showed through in everything that he participated in, from the Board of the South Island PSD, President of the Hilton Head Island Board of Realtors, Legislative Representative for Real Estate Issues in the Low Country, Head of the North Forest Beach HOA, and resident Santa at the Dove Street Lights, to name a few. Andy always stepped up for the good of the community and the people within.

Andy’s battle was very short and many might not have even known he was sick, but his faith was strong and helped provide him the comfort and solace to face his health struggles. Andy is now back with his beloved Joyce and he departs this world leaving behind his Son, Drew Klepchick of Atlanta, wife Jessica, granddaughters Casey (Tyler Forbes), Carlie Shade, Middle Son and Island Resident, Glenn Klepchick and wife Caroline, Grandson Jack and Grand Daughter Ella Grace, Doug Klepchick of Atlanta, wife Mary Katherine, Grandson Davis, and Grand Daughter McKenna and Mother in Law Margaret Shades, 101 years young.

To quote Andy, “You are the best!” The Island and the Lowcountry Thank You for all of your efforts and for the love you conveyed. You will be missed, but your spirit will forever shine on.

If Andy ever touched your life, take the time to pay your respects at The Island Funeral Home and Crematory, where his family will be receiving visitors Friday, December 30, 2016 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Saturday December 31, 2016 at 10:30 AM, followed by the burial in Six Oaks Cemetery.
